Stephen H. Moriarty
Stephen H. Moriarty was born and raised in Virginia, graduating from the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond Law School.
Between college and law school he worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, supporting a counter-intelligence squad in the Washington Field Office.
He began the practice of law as a prosecutor in the office of the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney, where for several years he tried all manner of misdemeanors and felonies, providing the inspiration for Restitution and some of its characters. He has since represented clients in matters ranging from property rights to fraud and conspiracy.
He has written several short stories that have been published in an annual anthology. He lives in Virginia with his family and has spent many hours fishing the Shenandoah River.
