Donna Lagone lives in upstate New York in a historic district “The Stockade” located in the city of Schenectady. Her home built in 1741, she finds wonderfully inspiring. Donna lives with, six spoiled cats, feral no more, and an exuberant French bulldog named Bella. She feels now is the time to put pen to parchment, writing the stories that swirl through her head at any given moment.

Donna’s career as, a Substance Abuse Counselor, and Outreach Specialist has taken her to the native peoples living in the deserts of our own Southwest, to the vast Prairies of the Heartlands and into the Bayous of Louisiana. Next, home to the prisons, and inner cities of her beloved New York State, She has contributed her experiences professionally to “The Incarcerated Youth Publications” for the past eight years.

Donna’s writing had been compared to Cormac McCarthy, Michael Gruber and Anna Frankin, which she considers quite a tribute.

Donna has read her Essay titled, “Old House” on the joys and tribulations of living in a house built in 1741 on Public Radio.

Donna has gone back to her first love Medieval Literature her new novel The Book Shop is set in 1445 England and France. Upon receiving an unordered Illumination of The Cambria Homily“. Tam must go on a journey to find honour lost. In doing so he finds a life filled with family and love. And a realization that much in life is not what it seems to be.

Her viewpoint on life’s journey is “Learn to Dance in the Rain”.
